I thought this would taste a certain way, but tasted another. The NZ Pinots that I have tasted in the past were rather earthy and savory. That's what I was expecting. What I got was definitely more fruity tones and light oak. I could tell this was slightly on the back end and won't get any better. Drink now!

Missed at the New Zealand wine tasting. So I brought a partial bottle home and tried over the next few days. Nice Pinot color. Good balance between acidity and alkaline. Very good. Buy and try it.

Seattle Wine Group - Nov 2015 Tasting - "Pinots of the World" (Amaroso Room - Wine Storage Bellevue): Nose had sweet black cherries with slight hints of vanilla and oak coming through. Palate followed the nose with a strong sweet cedar aspect. Nice balance and good mouthfeel. Slight hotness and mid-length finish.
