  • WSET Level 4 Course - WSET School; 9/6/2014-5/23/2015 (WSET School, Bermondsey): Appearance: The wine is Clear with a Deep garnet colour. Almost deep tawny
    Nose: The nose is Clean and Fully Developed, showing Pronounced intensity primary aromas of Ripe red plum, red cherry, violet, secondary aromas of cloves, vanilla and tertiary aromas of fig, prune, cooked fruit, chocolate, mocha.
    Palate: The wine is Dry in the mouth with a Medium level of acidity. It has Medium(-) tannins and a High Level of alcohol (14.50%). It has Full body and Pronounced intensity primary flavours of Ripe red plum, red cherry, violet, secondary flavours of cloves, vanilla and tertiary flavours of fig, prune, cooked fruit, chocolate, mocha. The finish is Long. Ripe red fruit and cooked fruit, well integrated alcohol
    Overall: Long, intense and complex. Very Good wine (in that it is well made) but just not for me.
    Conclusion: It is a Very Good quality wine. Drink Now; not suitable for Ageing or Further Ageing Will only degrade with further ageing; Premium priced (£20.00)

  • WSET Diploma Semester 1 Block B; 9/8/2014-9/11/2014: Pronounced, developing nose of ripe red fruits, cherry, strawberry, black cherry, plum, herb, leafy, sappy, toast, dried fruits, forest floor, leather.
    Dry, Med acid, medium tannin, med+ body, Med+ flavors intensity, ripe red fruits, cherry, plum, ripe black cherry. Leafy.
