  • This is my first bottle for 4 years, and it is now at the top of its game, and I will probably look to consume my remaining bottles over the last 3 years. I am always fearful of premox with Louis Jadot whites. This is a stellar wine, and can match any brand Burgundy. Packed with citrus and lemon peel, with honeysuckle and hints of vanilla, the balance is impeccable. Likewise the finish is excellent with gravel and seashore lingering on the palate with perfect precision.

  • Another wonderful showing, possibly even better than the last bottle. None of the matchstick/reduction to start. Got slightly better and better over hours. Held up next to some heavy hitting first growths. Lovely. Perfect pairing with scallop risotto.

  • Joel’s bottle. What a wonderful reminder of how great a 13 year old bottle of Grand Cru Jadot can be when it is totally free of oxidation. Glorious fragrance of lemon peel, oatmeal and subdued vanilla. Rich, concentrated and luscious framed by the perfect amount of acidity. Held up well in the glass. So sad that so many other white Burgundies, especially Jadot, never achieve this level.

  • Lovely complex white burgundy which was a great accompaniment to Thanksgiving dinner. Seems to be in the zone at the moment.

  • Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (EBCC): Just popped this open and sampled ahead of our tasting later this evening (begins in 90 minutes), wanting to ensure it is a sound bottle and holy cow, this is gorgeous. Pale, youthful straw yellow color dripping with lemon oil, mineral, honeysuckle and jasmine notes. Full-bodied, with lemon, almond, sage, quince and wet stone flavors. Can’t wait to pour another glass after ninety minutes of air…

Served double blind to the group. Has not changed too much since it was first opened but has added a flinty/smoky element that reminds me a bit of the smell of the spent roll from the cap gun I had in my youth. Wonderful underlying acidity with citrus, mineral and floral qualities. This is why wine lovers chase Burgundy- when it's "on" it's fantastic.
