18 years old and surprisingly nice, but it needs to be decanted for about an hour since the opening flavors are pretty tart. But once it has had a chance to breathe, the wine opened up and still had some soft fruit. Not a big wine, but what do you expect after 18 years? I had it with some beef and then the wine truly became enjoyable. I don't think this wine can take much more time, regardless of how you store it, so for those in the community with the wine in storage, I suggest drinking it now.

Classic William Hill. A bit lighter than most Napa Cabs. Leather and dark berry overtones transitioning to smoke. Drank with Rick and Linda at Angeli's. The Wm Hill was over shadowed by a 1996 Nils Venge Saddleback. Both were excellent. Should have reversed the tasting order and had the Wm Hill first.

Medium-bodied Cab with cherry, cassis, a little cigar box, and oak. Nice but nothing exceptional. Definitally better about 2 years ago when it had more vibrant fruit.

Subtle leather, hints of cedar with black cherry fruit turning to smoke, hints of mocha and anise.

Very surprised how balanced and fruit forward it was. Very nice for the price.
