Has typical characterful aromas of earthy, chalky, trufflely, leathery blackberries and plums. Its strapping medium bodied chalky, trufflely palate has wells of black+blue fruits. It ends longish, fresh and a bit tarry. 14%. Drink in 3-5 yrs. Needs 2 hrs + aeration. Great QPR under 8 Euros!

I enjoyed this wine tonight with a hearty chicken and sausage soup that we made yesterday. The ingredients of the soup blended together and the wine was just right to complement these tastes. I think of this as a really enjoyable wine with just enough of everything to make it clear that they started with good grapes and did just the right things to make a nice wine. Everything was in balance and I still have some left for tomorrow. I finished this wine on the second day and while still good it lost a point or two.

A strapping good-value Cahors with earthy, minerally and slightly truffley damsons and blackberry aromas and flavours. It has a food-friendly, dense, characterful four-square palate with a typical acidity and light oak. Ends medium long with characteristic tannins and freshness. Can be kept for 4-6 years+ no problem. 14%.

Tasty blend, some tannins left, but aromatic and smooth dark fruit with slightly some tarry finish.88-89

No detailed notes taken, but this is quite interesting, especially on the second night: graphite, blackberries and more.
