Drank with company so no detailed notes, but my experience was much closer to Gutt22's than FlyinBurrito's. As someone who drinks maybe 1-3 bottles of Cali chardonnay per year, I have no tolerance for excessive oak, and I didn't find it here.

14.5% alcohol. Took about 30 minutes to open up, but it's singing and at peak right now. Pretty baked apple and spice on the nose, with a good mineral undertone. In the mouth, this has lost its baby fat and has become more precise and laser-like. The acidity is mostly resolved, and the finish sails on nicely. Lovely. A-

I'm sorry...I almost always try and defend California wine in tastings but in tonight's blind tasting (a recap of the 76 judgment of Paris) CA just showed how far they strayed from making an appropriate table wine. This wine was incredibly overoaked particularly for fruit harvested from such a cool vintage. Did not come anywhere close to the Meursault premier cru sitting next to it which totally outclassed the Rochioli hands down.

14.5% alcohol. Drinking about perfectly right now. Medium yellow color. Pretty nose of ripe apple, light oak, and minerality. In the mouth, plush and smooth, with loads of apple fruit, refined acidity, and a long finish. This is is just so pure and nice. A-/A

Good complexity. Lots of tropical fruit, cream, and oak.
