Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • I felt the need to delete my previous tasting notes and revisit this wine altogether. Reason being it got markedly better by each bottle I had (not all in one sitting) as it had some time to rest in the cellar. The first bottle had strong oak impressions that never quite seemed to dissipate. By the third bottle a couple weeks later, I noticed the oak blowing off after 30 minutes or so. Couldn't say the same after the first two. Again, maybe just needed a bit more time to rest. It then opened up to some nice citrus notes but not much more past that. Now, today's bottle was the best yet. Clear light golden yellow with a green tinge (always a good sign). A little oak on the nose at first which blew off to reveal citrus, flowers, pine, spiciness on the palate with intriguing flavors of ripe meyer lemon; now we're talking!! Great wine to be sipping on the patio right now with the early signs of spring about. Nice to finally get some fresh air plus wines always taste better outdoors, especially this one!
