I was surprised that cellar tracker told me to drink this 2010 Justin Petite Verdot. So I checked Justin’s website and it said it was still good to store. However I decided to drink this 10 year old wine. It was stored in my cellar laying down but the cork was still brittle. I decanted it and it came out nice. Super dark and full bodied. It was tight but is opening up. Nice fruit on nose and taste. Complex and dry. Nice

Purple in the glass with a deep ruby rim, slight glass staining with slow medium tears, nose is expressive with red licorice notes and dark fruits, palate is balanced with medium tannins, tart dark fruits, plum, cherry, cassis, note of leather and vanilla. Seems to be aging well, a wine society members only offering from a Paso pioneer.

Deep garnet in the glass, nose is gapey with notes of alcohol, began very tight and opened slightly over the next several hours, palate was restrained with a nice mid palate acidity, subtle notes of plum, cassis, and wood, finish is notably flat. Purchased at the vineyard untasted as we favor small production varietals and have to say a bit disappointed for Justin as this falls short compared to other Petite Verdot's from CA like August Briggs.

Deep red, almost black in color. Subtle bought. Good combination of dryness and long finish

Tart, soft tannins, a little bit thin on the finish, but definitely a very good bottle. Wish I had more. Pleasantly surprised. Where do I get more?
