Had it after two Ruchottes Chambertin of Rousseau and Mugneret Gibourg, no problem, punching in the same class: Blackberries, salinity, earthy notes, pretty dense, elegant and interesting. A perfect Hermitage from the wise man from the hill.

Mature Northern Rhone Syrah (at my home): opened 3 hours before deep ruby rich, powerful, ripe dark cherries, plums, cranberries, pepper, eucalyptus, tar, mint, oak-vanilla, complex, long finish, excellent Hermitage.
27 hour after uncorking: the wine is still alive and powerful, no oxidation fatigue

Black berries, spices, meaty, powerful and with a lot of elegance and purity, had this one after high ranking Burgundies, clearly on the same level. Decanted it for 5 hours, helpful!

Blackberries, spices and a lot of meaty notes. Nicely structured with saline notes. This is a complete wine and a real beauty. Needs no decant.
