Still very dark red in color with significant brownish rim. Nose of bacon, licorice, cocoa and raisins. Palate of rather light attack, slightly sweet and not enough depth or follow through. To some this may be soft and easy drinking, but for me I think it is better at least 10 years ago, a fine aged wine now but I would enjoy more complexity and attack from drinking a Recioto or Amarone.
