Consistent with earlier tasting - more new world style like a big Australian Syrah with its complex concentrated forward fruits, almost obtuse when compared to the Chave, dark inky purple with blackberry and black raspberry fruits highlighted by notes of spice, cassis, currants, mocha and hints of black olive.
Delicious on opening and improving with just a bit of time in the glass. Sweet fruit on the nose, but not sweet at all to taste. Nice fruit of currant and berries on the front. Slightly tart and some tannin in the finish, but soft. More new world than old in style. Nice round mouth feel. Beautiful deep crimson / purple as expected of a full bodied cab. I have two bottles left, and will drink them sooner than later. Enjoying this very much now.

Full bodied wine with dark and red berries and a good dose of vanilla from the oak. There is some development and also still youthful fruit and tannin on the palate. Fresh acidity and a very good wine. 91 – 92

Continues to go strong, with the mountain fruit requiring at least an hour of decanting to shine. Best to consume over the next couple of years though.

Hmm. Drank over two days. Ink black, high acidiy and very prominent alcohol. But where is the fruit? Over the hill or 5-10 years too young?
