In a really nice place right, drinking well with a minimal decant. Dark berry, mocha, black currant and smoke flavors are very well integrated. Drink now.

(Force Majeure Collaboration Series V Red Wine Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Red Mountain) Using the same fruit as the winery’s 2007 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, it’s a dark, glass staining wine that is completely opaque. It’s aromatically appealing with incense, cocoa powder, barrel notes, and the darkest of cherries. The palate is intensely rich and concentrated with bold fruit flavors and firm, burly tannins. Give two plus years or a long decant. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 20 months in French oak (100% new). 15.3% alcohol. 120 cases produced. Chris Gorman (Gorman Winery) winemaker.

Decanted for three hours. Big, bold fruit and lots of tannins on the long finish. Wonderful steak wine.

Nice round dark fruit with mild tannins. A bit short on structure. Nonetheless, too bad it’s our last bottle.
