Initially plush red and blue fruits, earth, cedar. Body and tannins are velvety at times with a little bit on the backend. The tannins mellowed over time. and blue fruit notes emerged. Enjoyed from a decanter over 2 hours. This wine is in a great spot and a great QPR. Wish I had more.

From decanter. Milder plush red fruit with hints of earth and cedar. Goes well with spaghetti and red sauce. A drier, woody finish when tasted later without food.

Similar to last tasting as we finished the Coravined bottle with meatballs, tomato sauce and noodles. Perfectly fine for $14 close-out on a week night with a simple meal at home, but not living up to its $32 retail.

firm, closed; slowly rustic, ripe, red fruit, mildly earthy, and toasty a touch mineral appears. still pretty tannic, but well balanced, simple, unevolved taste; too young, should improve for a few years

This is a very good Chianti and is in a great drinking window with proper aeration and an hour decant.
A perfect pair for anything with a tomato sauce or spice. Candied cherries, smooth finish, an awesome representation of Sangiovese.
