  • - Ruby color with slow forming legs and aromas of grapefruit, licorice anise, cherry and raisin. It's overly acidic and has flavours of cherry and black currant with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a short finish - February 10, 2013: First tasting after bottling in September 2012. Surprisingly smooth and slightly effervescent. Distinct cherry flavour with a hint of strawberry and citrus...yes, despite the ribbing i received for mentioning this to my fellow tasters. indeed this wine is quite acidic. Short finish, but the acidic feeling stays with you for several minutes after swallowing. Given this, it would pair well with a spicy dish. However, i would let the wine age another six months before sampling again.
