  Time hasn't treated this wine so well. The rubbery tones have increased to a gale force blast of hot smoke and chemicals, with the fruit further subdued. Full bodied, alcoholic, and the with tannins intact the wine is now unbalanced and stumbling, lost in smoke, iodine, and savoury overtones. Pity

  Tasted blind. Garnet with good depth. Fine, hallmark Pinot aromas of forest fruits and a hint of rubber. Full bodied on the palate, balanced with just a hint of tannin. Decent length, integrated acidity. Guessed Kiwi. Grew in stature during the night, silently building up confidence. Will probably improve with a couple of years of bottle age. Good value.
