Translucent purple in color, this wine revealed muted notes of woodsmoke, game, tar and dark raspberry on the nose. The mouth feel was fuller bodied with more game undertones as well as defined iron notes. The finish was somewhat short and the 14% abv left a noticeable burn.
Purchased for $50US, this was somewhat of a disappointment. I first tasted the 2013 vintage from this Domaine and was much more impressed than this vintage.

Very nice wine and concentrated. Garrique, blueberries, spice, earth and stone. Concentrated and medium plus finish. Drink now to 2025.

Good wine, but a little bit too much alcohol and even too much dark sweet fruit. 90p, P- (not worth the price though a fine wine).

Lush red fruits and spice, with a polished, black cherry personality with good character and a supple finish.
