  • Great German Pinot of very high caliber, but it left me a little disappointed compared to my lofty expectations and the high avg. here on CT. I think it is almost too soft and easydrinking and not as pronouncely intense as some later vintages (e.g. 2012 and 2014 - haven't tried 2011 and 2013). Highly recommended still, but maybe a tad expensive for what it delivers.

  • After being opened for 6 days this wine really came to its right. Light to medium bodied, very balanced and elegant. Very nice raspberries. Lacks complexity though.

  • The best ever Heger red wine so far (for me, of course). Very well made and has a lot of finess to it. Not as heavy and woody as the Achkarrer Schlossberg, but oh so long and complex. With the WIldenstein from Huber, Baden´s Top-producers continue to rival the best Burgundy crus. And usually, they sell for less. But this may not be easy to allocate. When cou could inf it, let it rest for several years and put it in a tasting with Grand Cru Burgundy. It will be a great pleasure.
