Received a partial bottle to try from my Oenophile neighbor. Mellow yellow in the glass. Smooth, with honeysuckle, peach and hints of pear and some pineapple with just a touch of petrol on the palate. Sweet rather than dry. Very good, but more of a dessert wine. Very low acid. Drinks more like a Spätlese than a Kabinett.

This must be de-classified Spatlese from a very warm, ripe year. Lots of peach and honeysuckle, with some mild but nice minerality. There is a distinct softness and sweetness with somewhat low acid. A very nice wine, but better more chilled than less. Probably at peak - so drink up! 89+

Quince, petrol and honey. Straw yellow. Great sweetness and still a great "drinking flow" and easy on the palate. It's classic on a great level. In blind test my 2 wine experts drink a Spätlese 2002! ;)
