Lighter ruby color. Nose: dried red cherry, strawberry, red plum, and raspberry with accents of red rose, lavender, rosemary, sage, red vines, pink peppercorn, star anise, leather, castelvetrano olive, and allspice. Medium body on the palate: dried red cherry, redcurrant, raspberry, and strawberry framed by star anise, sage, rosemary, bay leaf, red rose, lavender, pink peppercorn, Sichuan peppercorn, cinnamon red hots, allspice, and mace. Medium acidity. Moderate/firm tannins. Lingering raspberry skin, pink & Sichuan peppercorn, garrigue, red rose, allspice, star anise, and mace on the long finish. Medium weight but powerfully expressive. Great rustic spice complexity. Comparable to an excellent CdP bottling. Pair with herb crusted lamb chops, dry rubbed BBQ pork ribs, herb crusted pork tenderloin, lamb curry dishes, rustic charcuterie, and herb infused goat and sheep cheeses. Drink over the next 4-8 years.

Tasty, rather large. And good finish. Agree with the other review, could use some more fruit. However, good wine throughout the tasting, and more importantly good with and without food.

Medium dark ruby color; tart red fruit, cranberry, light olive nose; tasty, tight, complex, roasted plum, tart berry, mineral, dried herb palate with medium acidity; needs 3-plus years; medium-plus finish (15.1% alcohol; 100% whole cluster; 2 years in neutral oak barrels and 1 in bottle)
