  Notes of jammy fruit, especially raspberries. Long finish, mild tannins

  A superb example of the perils of buying a wine without tasting it first. Many things possibly good about this wine have to be prefaced with "light" or "lightly". Light colored, light bodied, lightly fruity. Some things this wine has in abundance are negatives: sour, astringent, and rubber hose. A good way to enjoy this wine is as a palette cleanser and acidifier with food that nullifies the negatives, such as grilled beets or a pasta with cheese, tomatoes, and eggplant. All that said, the wine when allowed to warm up near room temperature does have a fairly soft texture with a decent red cherry taste.

  We had this at a friends get-together on 11/22/14. It had a distinct, powerful sulfur aroma that permeated everything…beyond that, there were earth, black cherry and spice aromas. The palate was fairly smooth and integrated with flavors that followed the nose…I didn't find it repulsive, but I wouldn’t take a case for free either!
