  Sunlight in the glass. Clear bright healthy golden shimmering in appearance; Nose of a quiet buttered caramelled American oak with hints of lemon zest and white pepper. On the palette superbly balanced medium bodied clean mouth feel nothing gripping or astringent so and mellow with perk. Refreshing and healthy; a dazzling complex white when compared to some recent Gruner had recently this weekend. What a treat, a fabulously 27 year old California Chardonnay! I think I actually drank this wine on release. What is a cakebread anyway; is it the same as a batter bread?
