At Arpege. Initially fragrant with Vosne spice but restrained on the palate. After an hour open in the glass and bottle it opened up a bit more albeit with PC not GC depth Overall enjoyable now but possibly better later if the fruit holds up.

Aux Brulées og Clos des Reas tasted together; same colour in the middle red range; AB broader nose more spiced compared with CR’s more pointed and more licorice; AB also broad in the taste filling all corners in the mouth; CR more “specific”, deep and concentrated; wife prefers AB (lighter) - I preferred CR as I like the concentration; both wines clearly good - so guess it is about broad and light vs deeper and concentrated

This wine is at a great place. Elegant, mineral with a lot of layers and depth both in the nose and on the palate. Strawberries, earthy notes, and vosne spices. All quite light and for me in a great harmony where the wine shows sign of its age but still have loads of primary fruit. It is not a dark fruited, over oaked burgundy wine but a classic seducing Vosne.

PNP and enjoyed over 2 hours. This feels like a typical Clos Reas. Light, elegant, but with nice dark fruit and some secondaries starting to show. Not the most complex, but a big hit at dinner tonight for its elegance. A-
