Fabulous All Sauternes Tasting Dinner: Part Trois (Brad's Place, St. Paul, MN): Deep golden color. Drank a glass plus over 2 hours. This has a lifted nose tht just explodes from the glass. Bursting with aromas of Mandarin orange, fresh tangerine peels, dulce de leche, peach cobbler, pear, white flowers, and pineapple. The palate is so crisp and bright. At almost 35 years this is incredibly fresh. The palate has fantastic acidity that drives the ship making this so elegant and balanced. Orange chiffon, pineapple cream, amazing spice notes that deliver the perfect accent to this long, vibrant and tingly masterpiece. Love it.

Ten years since last tasted! Deeper gold. True Barsac as lacks the luscious power of Sauterne. Yet not as remembered. The previous bottle seemed to possess delicate fruit and elegance. More maturity? Curious. Nonetheless a great wine. Will last.

Developed nose with layers of dried stone fruit, honeycomb, and saffron. Sweetness has settled in a little but still has fantastic acidity. Long pure honey finish.

Golden amber hue. Blood orange, orange peel, and tin on the nose. Honey, baked apricot, pineapple, and marmalade on the palate. Medium acid. Long finish. This is a stunner of a Sauternes.

Half bottle. Sadly a bit past prime with a brown golden color and some more oxidative notes. Still a rather tasty glass but not a great btl
