  • What a great wine. Bordeaux in its truest form. Drunk from a magnum bottle, therefore perhaps a little bonus.

  • Fresh and elegant, with plump sweet darks fruits counterbalanced with a savoury backbone. There were some pleasing grippy tannins and a gentle lingering finish, only marred by a slightly bitter note. A fine wine nonetheless. CHP 91 pts

  • About a year since my last bottle. This really benefitted from 90 min in the glass. This is a very subtle and smooth wine. Still a bit of subdued cherry fruit up front which leads into a well balanced wine. This is borderline delicate. Finish is a bit short. This must be drinking at peak unless you prefer a fully stripped wine that is utterly boring. This is best consumed in the near term. This would pair well with chicken or fish. Revisit 2025

  • * Decanted for 4 hours before serving.

In a very good place right now. Color - dark, brooding and vibrant.

On the nose - old school notes of hay, leather, damp earth, espresso and truffle. Lovely and complex, yet subtle.

In the mouth - round and plush, medium bodied, perfectly integrated tannins with dark fruit lingering on a well balanced finish. Lot's of secondary notes and very slight tertiary at this point.

A very 'correct' effort - not brilliant, but harmonious and tasty. Very classy and definitely at its peak drinking window. Can go strong for another decade.

    91 points on the night.

  • Aerated to decanter for ~ 3 hours, was the minimum I'd go with if serving again anytime soon. Fresh, with bright cassis fruits, gravel and earthy, forest-driven notes. Broad but graceful mid-palate with developing length. The final glass was the best and suggested the best has yet to come. Pretty. For its full potential, it's highly recommended
