  • Decanted for half an hour. Dark red, yellow rim, 5.5. Mature, intense meaty garrigue nose, dark red berries. Harmonious on the palate, well rounded tannins, good fruit. Drink now-2014. What a pleasant surprise. Much more character than I'd expect.

  • Royal Purple. Hot nose. Needed time to open up but even then not great. Hard tannins. Vacuum bottled for the next day. Significantly better but then fell apart rapidly both in taste and color. The tannins were still harsh. I have a hard one giving this an 80 so I won't. Disappointed and was hoping this producer would do a decent job given their awesome Gigondas.

  • Good value priced Rhone. Decent fruit tastes. Not remarkable. Certainly better than most wines I've had on domestic 1st class routes, but that's not saying much.

  • I had this on a United flight from China and could have continued to drink it for another 3000 miles. The nose, though tight, had nice hints of black cherry and spice. The Grenache and Syrah were blended well for an excellent, smooth, dark fruit finish that should continue to open up with the nose over the next year. Decanting is another option that would also benefit this wine. Very good value at any altitude.

  • Clear medium purple and a smokey nose backed by tart dark berries and nod towards raspberry...which followed suit on the palate with a nice entry and a medium grip at mid palate showing some tasty fruit structure with a dusty tannic framework that enhanced the package. For the price, a lot more than I expected. Definate QPR...
