Community Tasting Notes (1) Median Score: 82 points

  • “Affordable Mixed-Case-Red-Tasting - Part I” (non-blind), in September 2013: Screw cap. The wine was medium- to dark ruby in colour and offered blackberry, some red fruit, some spices, eucalyptus and subtle oak on the nose. On the palate the wine showed blackberry, red fruit, cherry, eucalyptus, spices, a hint of chocolate and subtle oak, paired with medium-plus acidity, medium- to medium-plus slightly dry tannin and average length. The wine tasted “manufactured” and the aftertaste and mouthfeel were not exactly pleasant, but the wine was much more palatable than the other two wines of the flight.
