This is unlike any other Pinot. The wine expresses minerals and salinity from the Gualtallary soil. Light bodied, red and dark fruit, pleasant acidity. Very good length. Extremely good value.

2013 Argentina Trip; 12/30/2012-1/14/2013 (Buenos Aires/Córdoba): This was served to us in a restaurant in Buenos Aires at about 14C and that's the optimum drinking temperature. It was really fresh and sappy with a mix of red and darker fruits. It tastes like some whole bunches were used and I couldn't detect any oak. This is the first Mendoza Pinot Noir I've enjoyed - fruit is just ripe and there is varietal character (which has been lacking previously). I don't think it will reward keeping but should drink well throughout 2013. Good value, too.
