Great wine. Pale rim, ruby core, nose of tar annd cooked black fruit. Bright acidity, medium tannins, notes of tar on plate to go with the fruit. Medium finish. Opens up after about an hour. Very good but not great.

2010 wasn't as good a vintage in Bolgheri as. say 2011, but as a result this half was approaching its drinking window. Absolutely gorgeous nose and evident potential. Sassicaia is wonderfully consistent. 92 for now, more to follow.

This wine has aged very well. Smooth, elegant with dark fruit and nice acidity. 24 hrs later the Cabernet Sauvignon has become more predominant.
