A most interesting wine, very drinkable after 28 years. At or just past its peak, but still full of jammy varietal fruit with reasonable remaining acid. Kind of like plum preserve. Don't wait any longer if you have a bottle

Opened 2 months after being sampled via Coravin. More plum, fig , and prune with more savory notes than previously noted. Okay, but likely past its prime.

Dark red, looks brand new. Large tasting pours. Coravined. Compared to the 86 & 2000 Mondavi Cabs this was a deeper, richer, more complex wine. Great combination of secondary flavors and dark fruit. This continued to open up, improve and integrate over two hours. Mature, but not old. Good Cali Cabs IMHO compete very well against Bordeaux. This was excellent at 25 years old!

Pleasant. Clearly aged can, but held up better than the Mondavi. Less forest and earth, more bright red fruit, but still very restrained. Like it.

In a word, yum. Showing as extremely youthful with lovely ripe cab fruit and a nice hit of cedar with excellent vibrancy and balance.
