Decanted for 8 hours then consumed over two nights. Day one was disappointing as the wine displayed little Cabernet character, mostly red fruit and elevated acid. The second night was substantially better as the acid integrated and the wine offered medium body, darker fruit and cedar notes. Disappointment remained, however, over the price of the unexciting experience.

86-87 pts; Medium ruby color. Black currant, black cherry, and pepper on the nose. Spices, dark fruit and firm tannins compose the fairly complex palate. More dark fruit on the finish with lingering vanilla and subtle oak nuances. Intriguing, very good, just not sure about the price point, seems steep for a Paso cab.

Tasted this last night amongst approx ten cabs, mostly from Napa. It was smooth and solid, middling in the pack. High end was Conn Valley, Caymus, Chimney Rock, Levendi, lower end was entry level Justin and Provocative.
