  • Was worried I'd left this for too long in the cellar. Read a very useful comment by Darke Peak suggesting the wine was still lovely but needed 30 to 90 minutes to open up. Followed the suggestion and was pleasantly surprised. The wine was lovely and still drinking beautifully. The remaining 2 bottles in my cellar have already been reserved for my birthday lunch in July.

  • Deep golden colour in the glass. Aroma and taste of pineapple cream and wax. Lovely oily mouthfeel but maintaining freshness. This wine is vibrant and exciting and surprised me how young it tasted. amazing experience.

  • Last bottle of this vintage. Cork. Into neck. Drank NYE with TWE (aka Penfolds) GLO for Adelaide Hills. Colour still had a greenish tinge - fresher than the previous bottles opened over the last 3 years. Don’t serve too cold. Needs 30-90 mins to open up. Fruit/acid/tannin balance is spot on - looks more like a 8-10 year old wine. Wish I had more in this condition.

  • 闻香有白芝麻香气,淡淡白花香,橡木桶的奶油味和一些陈年的焦糖香气,还能明显感受到一股鲜味,入口酸度高,收口甜,口感丝滑柔顺,有矿物感,能感受到漂亮的集中度,收尾微微辛辣,伴随着植物的微苦,余味白花香气和奶油味。已经发展得很成熟,口感平衡而又舒展,这么老的年份却没有丝毫氧化感,对比同年份的勃艮第霞多丽,它状态是如此活跃,陈年潜力令人叹服。

  • Took a gamble buying this from a local wine shop that has several random "forgotten" wines on their cluttered shelves. But I have the say the dark amber color and the notes of honey, minerals, nuts and butter are quite pleasant.

    (Penfolds Yattarna) Meursault-like nose of grilled hazelnuts, iodine, slight butter, balsam, intense minerality, tightly wound fruit, phantom presence of oak, bacon bits. Palate is like the highest end silk in your mouth. There is unbelieavable acidity and length. Lush and extremely concentrated yet very light. The depth hits the back of the throat in mid swish. Complex layers of baked apples, guava, pineapple, kiwi, spice (clove?). Incredibly complex and very ageworthy.
