HDH auction tasting at Tru; 9/18/2015-9/19/2015: Initially, a big whiff of sulphur on the nose, which dissipated with air. The palate is rich and waxy (it seems like Chassagne has been a theme of today) but with typical Boillot acidity. This is a bit less linear than I prefer my chardonnays, but I loved the overall power and density on this.

Clear, pale lemon in color with greenish hue exhibiting fully developed aromas of white flowers, lemon, peach, apricot, herbaceous quality and underlying minerality. Dry with medium levels of acidity/alcohol; rich and softly textured flavors of aforementioned fruit are evenly balance with bright crisp acidity and firm mineral structure. Long, tightly woven, and evenly distributed snappy finish. Delicious.

Wines Tasted at HDH Auction (Tru Restaurant - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Lots of maturing ripe stone fruit with good density. While not particularly nuanced or complex, this is still a fun wine.
