Healthy, deep color. Peppery black fruit on the nose and palate. Medium weight, substantial acidity, quite mineral. Very good effort in the context of the vintage. Not too harsh or green at all. Better than the last bottle.
The next day it showed a flash of tart Chambolle fruit and flesh, but even more earth that quickly cut off the finish. This is not going anywhere worth following.

Good primary ruby color. Immediately, some minty, stalky aromas, but these dissipated somewhat to reveal more soil and black cherry fruit. Medium weight, some sappiness. Good dark red fruit, fine acidity, but the green returns on the end and gives it a harsher, less supple finish. Sigh, this has more of the 2011 greenness than it had when last tasted about 4 years ago. Still, it is better than many and has quite a bit of interest for a village wine. I'd be inclined to consume it before the unpleasant elements increase even more.
Still had chocolate richness the next night and the greener pieces have faded. Unfortunately, so has the fruit, and now it tastes excessively earthy.

Even, medium ruby. Red berry fruit and a touch of green herb which evolved more toward licorice. Medium weight, beautiful mouthcoating texture with more chocolatey wood showing than I remember from tasting it in the spring. A dash of spice adds to the mix. Perhaps a little bigger than prototypical Chambolle and a faint reprise of New World Pinot, but my, is this tasty and drinking wonderfully at a young age. I don't see this shutting down given its supple, generous nature. Excellent at the village level-I'd gladly have it as the house Burgundy.

La Paulée de San Francisco - Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. Very pretty with fresh, vibrant all red fruit, spice hints. Wonderful mouth feel and textures. Very good for its level.

Bird's Eye View of 2011 Burgundy-The 2014 La Paulee Grand Tasting (Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco): Just achingly delicate, beautiful light red fruit and a dash of earth. Seductive light weight, freshness and purity of fruit.
