Purple-violet, deep and pretty. Soft, sweet red berries on the nose. Unbelieveably velvety texture. Fascinating saline notes blend with soft red raspberries throughout the palate. Delicious.

I am in the wine business and taste a lot of wines. I can honestly say that this wine was a total surprise. I have never had an Aussie shiraz this old (16 yrs) and it gives me new insight into what these wines can do. Simply, I was tasting Hermitage from the new world. It had a classic olive and roasted herb nose. It had elegance with just a touch of the big fruit usually expected from these wines. It had a savory finish that lasted several beautiful seconds. This wine is in a great place and should stay at this point for several more years. Bravo!

Silky smooth, full bodied syrah with beautiful overtones of plum, strawberry, and a little fig. It's juicy, big, and maybe not for everybody, but we loved it. Tannins are almost absent and color looks disappointing, but the taste delivers. wish we had more.

Well past prime, thin, soft palate.

This was drinkable and even youthful but flawed by green pepper notes that became stronger with air.
