  • This has developed a little bit since my last bottle, but is still on the young end. The nose is full of plum, spice, cassis, and rose perfume. The palate is actually very nicely integrated with ripe, smooth tannins and medium acidity. This still has lots of development potential, but is actually quite enjoyable now as well.

  • Rich perfumed nose with cherry, currant, cassis, anise, vanilla, and tar. The merlot is evident in the nose. The palate is supple, yet has firm structure (I'm guessing this is from the significant percentage of petite verdot) and still needs some time to integrate these tannins fully. It is a well made and lovely wine that with more bottle age will be fantastic.

  • Full ruby color. Nose: black cherry, ripe black plum, and mulberry with accents of violets, potpourri spices, red licorice, and a hint of cured meat. Medium body on the palate: black cherry, grilled plum, and mulberry framed by anise, roasted grain, dark chocolate, and Asian spices. Medium acidity. Moderate/lighter tannins. Lingering plum skin, roasted grain, and anise on the moderate/long finish. Fantastically complex nose followed by a silky, seductive flavor combination. Drink over the next 4-6 years.
