Really fruit abounds in the dark violet wine...yes, early palate and eye don't agree. I find the oak heavy and manipulated with cedar undertones. On the mid to late palate the wine shows what you more expect. Big sweet wines with slight tannins. Finish is acidic but short.
$45 for this? Very poor QPR.

decanted for two hours. Perfect nose, smooth dark cherry, strong finish. Nice with steaks on the grill.

Consistent with previous reviews. Tannins were softer. Very nice. I wish that I had more.

Took about an hour for it to open up, but then it was worth it
