Very nice effort. Almost a cross between an Argentinian Malbec and a Cali Zin. Opaque purple-black color. The nose has a hint of sweetness, and loads of big black fruit with a hint of black-jack tobacco (vanilla/tobacco). A little brambly on the nose, too. On the PnP and for the first hour, maybe more, it exhibits more red fruits with a distinct minerality. As it opens, the minerality disappears and the red fruits transform into big, black "Malbec typical" fruits. After opening up, more black brambly fruit on the palate. Medium bodied. Medium finish.
Overall, a nice bottle, but one can do better for QPR in Argentinian Malbec.
