After a week in Kenya on a safari with everything but grape, desperation and a somewhat limited wine list ('We have red or white, sir') presented me with this.
Certainly fruity - as was the service. 'Bleeding' might be another one word description given its colour and capacity to stain.
'Unrefined' would be more accurate still. Perhaps the dash of Petit Verdot did a runner into the bush early doors.
However it didn't offend the taste buds too much and proved to be nothing many glasses of Swartland cava couldn't obscure.
