  • Surprisingly very, very good. Fairly expressive and multi-dimensional, not just a simple wine. Camus isn't the most highly-regarded producer and I've had other older bottles of this that weren't this good, but on this particular night, the 1985 was showing quite well. Certainly not in the same category of Rousseau, but if you're craving older Burg at a good price, this is a great deal. Reminded me of an old Lopez de Heredia gran reserva.

  • Tasted at a La Paulee Lunch. From Magnum. Medium brownish garnet. Expressive nose of mushroom, tobacco and gingerbread, nice and complex. Good mid palate presence with fully dissolved tannins. Earthy finish.
