Unsure if its the bottle or the wine, but this one - the last one in my cellar - was not as vibrant or enjoyable as the previous bottles. The cork was pristine upon extraction. Beautiful bright red berry nose, but it didn't translate to the taste buds. Flavors were thin and muted. Likely should have enjoyed earlier while waiting for better stuff to mature.

The moment has arrived for this second label from Haut Bages Liberal. From my perspective, the 2010 La Fleur is drinking better right now than the first label from 2008 that I enjoyed a few weeks ago. Poured into the decanter but allocated the bottom of the bottle for a glass of sediment-present assessment. A very short decant of 20 minutes was enough for the beautifully fresh blueberry/blackberry notes to start singing. Smooth, balanced, and delightfully developed. Considering this was a Costco purchase for roughly $26 a bottle way back in 2013 or so, I'm quite pleased to have a little QPR gem waiting for me. I won't wait long to open another. It won't get any better, and it's quite good. Drink.

Belle progression depuis la dernière TN. Beaucoup plus expressif tant au nez qu'en bouche. Les tannins sont encore fermes mais l'intégration est amorcée. Beaucoup de sédiments collants, définitivement sur la bonne voie.

Consistent with the last bottle. Nice pauillac foundation with gravel notes. 45 minute decant. Tastes very nice. Sediment is starting to become quite noticeable so pour carefully.

Really glad I have a few of these. Early reviews were a bit harsh on this "little brother" to Haut Bages Liberal, but it is rounding out nicely. Classic pauillac with great dark fruit and mineral notes. Wife and sister didn't care for the nose as it was a little "mushroomy" but I quite enjoyed it. Company included some refined taste buds and it was enthusiastically received. Give this at least a one hour decant, but taste a little along the way. Super value.
