A step up from the last time with the fruit rounding out. Nose is beautiful mix of reduction (matchstick), flowers, and citrus fruits which is so satisfying i would have been happy to just smell it all night...and it’s the primary reason for the score. Excellent energy and precision, it’s not full bodied nor overly lean as some 11s can be. Meyer lemon, pear, and minerals create a nice mid palate, while the finish is still medium length. I’m not sure it gets better but this is a nice plateau to hang out on
Ps, I finished this 2 nights later (Recorked half in a 375ml) and the fruit was thinner

Bouquet is subtle but persistent, gaining more nuance with air. Yellow grapefruit, minerals and some saline laced throughout, it’s a very intriguing fusion of flavors. Density and frame reflect the vintage

A Birthday Celebration (Taste 222 - Chicago IL): Enticing aromatic start showcasing floral, spice and orchard fruit elements. Similar flavors with lemon curd as well. Very good length with minerally finish I particularly liked.

Seventeenth Annual White Truffle Dinner (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Vertical 2011-2013. Bright and powerful with just enough richness to complement its great energy. Aging gracefully and beautifully, this is best to enjoy over the next few years.
