PnP. Floral and fruity, hint of spice. Light to medium body with good acidity. Fresh, silky and on good balance. Very nice expression of Volnay, fully open and very enjoyable right now.

red ruby colour with medium intensity ripe red fruits. medium body to bodied, ripe cherries, red plum marmalade, silky tannins, very nice freshness, balanced, not too much spicy, quite precise, a bit of minerality. good length. it doesn´t show its age, you can still keep it in the cellar.

From Coravin at a restaurant. The nose was still primary, showing red and black fruit and floral notes. Like one of the other tasting notes, I did not find much Volnay character, and I wonder whether I would have identified it as a pinot in a blind tasting. The fruit was just ripe, with good acidity and tannins.

The Superb Barthod and Boillot Wines: Blackberries, dark cherries and perfume of violets on the nose. Elegant and very poised on palate. Very pure. Excellent acidity. Seemingly more matière than the Evocelles. Beautiful fine grained tannins. Light on its feet. "A ballerina" of a wine, compared with the Pommard, which is more of a "truck driver" at this time, said JC. Outstanding. My preferred wine of the three Boillots.

Nice standard Burgundy. Less ripe red fruits, good with food (paired with turkey meatballs), but was a bit on the primary side.
