  Robe brillante, légèrement briquée au pourtour.
  
  Le vin commence à s'ouvrir après un passage de 45 minutes en carafe.
  
  Nez discret, fleurs séchées, cèdre, torréfaction, une touche végétale.
  
  Très minéral. La bouche est nuancée, cerise, fumée, corps moyen et belle structure composée de tannins très fins. Acidité bien appuyée qui apporte de la fraîcheur. La finale est persistante.
  
  Donne l'impression d'un vin relativement jeune. À revisiter dans les 5 ans.

  La même appellation (ou presque) du Comte Armand prend le 1er rang à l’ouverture car le De Montille démontre un peu de réduction. Pas contre à l’aération, ce dernier se révèle plus complexe, avec davantage de profondeur, surtout le lendemain. Les 2 sont excellents.
