  • Has held up well over time. Good fruit, though less refined and fragrant that a classic Bourgogne. Lghter weight than some over-extracted examples.

  • Belle odeur et très présent en bouche, bcp de fruits et délicat effet de vieillessement. Pas complexe mais très agréable, surtout étant donné que c'est un californien.

  • Bought 6b for 9/b five years ago as a closeout from a local supermarket. This was the third bottle consumed, and it was a revelation. No decant; no sediment found; fragrant red fruit nose with some strawberry, bit of black cherry; mature fruit with very good mouthfeel. Last time I tried this (2014), it seemed relatively thin and simple; but this was much better--delicious! Reminds me of the elusive value of aging that many consumers probably rarely if ever experience. Glad I have more. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I considered this outstanding- when considering quality, age, and price.

  • Bought 3b for 10/b during a wine department "reset" from a local chain grocery store four years ago. No decant, no sediment. Rich ruby color; fragrant red fruit nose, showing some oak; full bodied, very good mouthfeel. Enjoyed with rare ahi tuna. I considered this notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.

  • Forward dark, berry fruit without the supporting structure necessary to improve. Pleasant, but not complex or very interesting. Not improving with age.
