Wasserman Burgundy Dinner (Smyth - Chicago IL): Bigger fruit vs Fontenys in the next glass, with both black and red cherry. Better concentration, but less perfect balance and some rugged, structured character on finish. Cellar a few more years.

Violet color. Nose of dark cherries. Very well balanced with fine tanins and the right level of acidity. Delicious long finish. Very classic red burgundy wine with further aging potential.

Fine Vines Warehouse Tasting (Fine Vines - Melrose Park IL): Walk around tasting, brief note. Lean black cherry with braised meat with slowly cooked spice. Good weight, good+ length.

Musique & Vin Wine Tasting (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Tasting, brief note. Spice-driven start, then big and brawny on palate with firm finish. Good enough but this will need time.
