  This is at its peak. The initial sip detonated with a wild, classic Oregonian explosion of strawberry, cherry and raspberry flavors. A tight coil of tannins pulls the experience back down, as a faintly smoky, meaty midrange bobs up and then disappears under a crisply acidic and almost briny astringency.

  Burgundian in its flavor and textural profile. Nice earth and clay notes accent the black cherry fruit, which also has good spice. The palate is moderately concentrated with florals and spice throughout. Nicely balanced and should age for another 5-10 years.

  Great wine for the price. Nose, flavor and age.
  Everything comes together for a $30 wine. overlooked by many.

  consistently performs year in year out as a nice standard of clear, bright, pure Oregon pinot. just enough complexity for the geek and a lot of pleasing qualities for non-geeks.

  Pours a clear red; this bottle is starting to show a bit of bronze on the edges. Nose is light red fruit and a bit musty. Taste is again red fruit, with a bit of dust and strong acid. Body is on the light end of medium, with a reasonably long finish.
  
  My allergies seem to be acting up a bit, and I'm a little worried about the storage if this particular bottle, so bear that in mind with this note.
