Consistent flavor profile from last tasting but a better showing. Seems to have mellowed, didn't pick up as much acidity(?), showing a lot of depth on this evening.
The much maligned 2011s are actually drinking well, at least those in my cellar. They are not built for the long term, but not bad in my last few tastings...:)

First bottle of the 2011 PNV from RP. Slow oxed for 30 minutes. Drank over 2 nights
Dark garnet red color, no signs of separation. Nose is dark fruits, blackberry, herbs, faint tobacco. Palate showing dark fruits, black cherry, plum, mocha, licorice, black olives (?). Flavors persistent through the mid palate. Medium body, medium/long finish. Tannins present but softened.
All in a nice wine. Still a bit too acidic for my palate (not sure if thats the vintage?) Still has a way to go. Liked this when tasted from the barrel, at this point I would put it in "good not great" category
