Opened and poured. Plums, blueberries, raisins, and meat on opening. After 75-90 mins, it opened up beautifully and was more delicate and minerally, with hints of strawberry emerging.

Color of bing cherries with a fresh crush cherries nose opens into a silky, jammy cherry preserve mouth feel with big flavors of smoke and leather and nice fine sweet tannins. Medium minus acidity and some musky barnyard flavors. Absolutely delicious now, can hold another five years no problem.

Deep ruby, forming fast-moving legs @ only 12.7% abv. Medium slightly aromas of dried cherries, blackberries with a funky slightly astringent twist. Dry, medium(+) acidity, low tannin, medium alcohol, well defined and medium(+) body. Medium palate of cherries, blackberries and prunes. Balanced, clean texture yet a bit flat in the mid-palate. Good length with fruit-driven slightly rustic finish with cutting acidity. Despite its cool provenance it lacks complexity, yet interesting.

Fairly straightforward, lighter style Syrah. Nice flavors and easy drinking, for near term.
