Served blind and it reminded me of another wine I couldn't place. Lots of apples, citrus, grapefruit, mineral and pithy finish for days. After it was revealed to be Rasa WA chard I was like Mason Bleue Au Contraire! Very similar from my memory and would love to try side by side.

Piercing, almost Chablis-like acidity for a Washington Chardonnay...even from a cool vintage. The wine also features a mineral vein that compliments the green apple, citrus, kumquat, white currant, gooseberry, stone fruit, and herb flavors. Judicious oak treatment, exceptional winemaking.

Lightly straw colored. 13.5% ABV. Lemon oil, minerals and pears on the nose. Lush mouthfeel with decent acidity. Peaches, lychee fruit and green apples on the palate. The first Chardonnay from Rasa. Good but not great. Drink over the next several years. Tough price point at $45.

Wow, what a Chardonnay! Beautiful nose, great acidity and balance. The best Chardonnay that I have had from the Pacific Northwest.
