Well, people. Take all your fancy anti-corporate, anti-market reaction to this wine (and I'm not referring to this page, but to the world in general) and secure that criticism, because I am here to tell you that Meiomi, especially with some age on it, is an exceptional wine. I have heard it said that they spike this stuff with Syrah to give it body and heft. That may be so. I've also heard people rail against little Wagner because he sold it for 300 mil. God bless him and the vines he rode in on. Capitalism rules. All that aside, this is an excellent wine made for the wine lover in all of us, with fruit, body and backbone in exceptional harmony. Forget the price point, it's the flavor point. I could drink this all day long. My one caveat: I can't drink it off the shelf. Overbaked. Buy a bunch, let it age, enjoy. Repeat. Final note: I got a strong, glorious hint of mint and eucalyptus in this vintage, which was an added thrill.

A mass market pinot ought not to be this good. Refreshing, bright cherry flavors with enough body to stand up to the lamb chops we were eating. Better than many others I've had costing twice as much.

Rich raspberry fruit and Smokey nose. Medium body smooth fruit dominated finish with dark toasty oak character. Went well with smoked salmon.

My style of Pinot. An overall good and enjoyable Pinot especially when aged.
